A Month of Gratitude.

Thanksgiving falls this month, as does Delaney’s 6th birthday.  I decided to do a month long journey into gratitude – ick, that sounds really new age-y, doesn’t it?  Basically, I started a project that is better described in a picture…

I’ve seen lots of other people doing some form of this on Facebook, which is awesome!  And, given the year (or two) that we’ve had, I thought it would do us well as a family.  So, the premise is that, every day, each of your family members list something they are grateful for THAT day.  And, really?  I hate to say that it’s harder than I thought it would be.  I have so many BIG things to be grateful for, but I realize that I’m not living in the “moment” enough to recognize the little things that I’m grateful for every day.  (Is is wrong that I wrote “Children’s Benedryl” last week when Delaney was sick???)  Thankfully (get it?), my friend, Amber, has also taken the plunge, so she helps me be accountable on a day to day basis.

Anyhoo, I have a follow-up post to this one as it relates to photography, but I think I need to let it brew some more, b/c it’s a DEEP one.  Hope you’ll hang around.
