So, after the workshop on Monday, and just a general gut feeling about where the digital photography industry is going, I’m seriously considering providing digital prints on CD instead of typical print packages. However, the digital images would obviously be more expensive than a simple print, since a customer would be free to print as many copies, sizes, as they wanted.
Thoughts? Would you at least like the option to buy the digital files?
Depending on the cost of the digital file – yes – would definitely want it as an option. Purchasing CD from photographer can be cost-prohibitive for many so the option to still be able to order individual prints might be necessary depending on your target clientele.
I agree that it would depend on the cost of the cd. It would be nice to have the option to order as much as you want. This is still a business for the photographer and with the release of all the photos you loose your control.
