So, it’s probably no surprise, that I’m TOTALLY into this whole “Project Life” MOVEMENT that Becky Higgins has started. And, I can honestly say, that 9 weeks in, I am still keeping up on a weekly basis, which is the most I can say for ANY scrapbook project I’ve taken on in the past. Recently,…
I nearly teared up there. I must do this. I get what you are saying about wanting to know what your Mom was feeling in day to day life way back when.
Is that homemade miso soup?
OMG. Is it BAD that I am stoked that you love this!!?? Seriously, the EASIEST way to “memory-keep” EVER. You can get fancy if you want, but basically? just a few photos and a few journal cards. I am looking back at the first week in January and appreciating it that much more!! And, really? OF COURSE IT IS HOMEMADE Miso soup, and it’s fabulous. I have it every morning and it’s super easy. Should I put it on my blog? I didn’t figure anyone would eat it…
Please put it on your blog! And tell me where you get your ingredients. I want to make it but am concerned about boiling the miso and making it gritty and all that. I’m serious!
I am off to order the project life stuff. Life flys by too quicklly!
Blog it! I will make it. You already got my buying broccoli seeds and making chicken soul broth!
Woo Hoo! I’m turning into a hippie and bringing other be-yotches with me!! Yay!
I will definitely put it on my blog – thank you for encouraging it! And, just in advance…I make sure the miso DOESN’T boil (because it loses ALL the probiotic properties), but it’s totally not gritty.
This is my second year doing PL, and I love it more and more. I also did the day in the life, and it always turns out so cool. I used the Design F page protectors (2 of them), cut off the end vertical row of 3×4 slips and stapled them together. Then I interspersed journaling cards with pics from throughout the day. By stapling the two together they open and read as one insert, and they are more narrow than the 12×12′s, since I cut them down, so they fit into the middle of the weekly spread. Last year I was very simple, as it was my first time. Having so much fun getting more creative this year.
Love your pics and your post. I get just that excited about PL, and want to tell everyone to do it! ha ha!
I feel the same way Tammy!
What is this project you speak of? I love the 12 x 12 collage, and would totally care to read about it. I also think this is perfect, I take shots here and there, but never start the day and make it a project, great idea. I got this dang camera to take pictures of my kids, but rarely do that anymore! Yes, Miso soup recipe please:)
Project Life is actually something started by Becky Higgins. You can find out more info at her website/blog. I just started doing it this year, and am loving it! The Day In the Life thing was just an additional add-in to that project. That concept came from Ali Edwards, and you can find more info about that HERE!
This year I took a new approach to my scrapbooking and jumped into PL as well! I have to boast a little too & say I haven’t missed a day of picture taking either. I think of it as such a great way to capture LIFE…and to remember all the little things that make it what it is! looking forward to seeing more about PL on your blog! Keep snappin’!
LOVE this!! Project life has also challenged me to TAKE MORE PICTURES….and capture more memories!! It’s therapeutic! I enjoy my time spend working on it! Can’t wait to read about your 12×12 layout & how you worked this into your project life!
I love your site & blog! I plan to do PL… Maybe i will start over the summer when i am off
please add me to your email list.

I also LOVE Project Life and am doing just about a two-page spread each day. I didn’t know I have so much to say! I also did a “Day in the Life” last month, but I sure wish I would have done it today for Leap Year. Afterall, it only comes around every four years…
Found you through Becky Higgins! Can’t wait to see your PL pages. Your pictures are wonderful.
Thanks so much Lisa! I will definitely be sharing some of my PL pages soon.
I just came across your blog and have enjoyed seeing all your great pictures. Back in 2008 l did Project 365, in which l forced myself to take a photo a day, although hard at times, l still love looking back and seeing a year of our family life summed up in photos. I continue to try and take photos of our everyday as these are the things l wish l could see of my mum’s past. And while l’m at it, l too would love the recipe for Miso soup my family loves it! Thanks for sharing your pages and talent.
